Need support in the workplace because of vision loss?

The Blind Foundation Employment Consultants are skilled advisers who can support you and keep you working even though you are experiencing vision problems.

We can help in a lot of ways:

  • advise you on how to manage your vision loss, so you can continue to work effectively. We do this either one-on-one, in small groups or remotely.
  • support you with access to funding for tools to aid your vision in the workplace. These can include scanners, video magnifiers and speaking computers. We can also help you access training to develop keyboard skills and switch over to new equipment.
  • talk to your employer about how to positively manage blindness and low vision in the workplace.
  • support you with Health and Safety in employment issues.

The Blind Foundation also runs blindness awareness training programmes for employers and staff, to support those with vision problems in the workplace.
