Wellington Writer’s Walk

Wednesday, 6 December 2017, 11:00 am - 11:45 am

Wander along the Wellington Writers Walk visiting a selection of quotes from poets, novelists and playwrights about living here in the capital city. These sculptures are on plaques and benchmarks and are positioned where their location reflects their content. As we go we will share stories about the artists and our own impressions of Wellington.

This tour will be based outside so it will be subject to the weather on the day. It will last for approximately 45 minutes, and so you must be comfortable walking or standing for this amount of time. Afterwards there will be the chance to ask questions over a cup of tea. The tour will be available for up to three low vision or blind participants and will be supported by member of the museum staff, a Blind Foundation volunteer and/or a Blind Foundation staff member.

If you are interested in attending the tour then please reserve a place by contacting Frances Watling (Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator at the Blind Foundation). Tel: 04 380 2151 or by email at fwatling@blindfoundation.org.nz .
