Wellington Museum Tour – Fabulous Te Aro
A tour based on the title ‘Fabulous Te Aro’ has been organised for Monday 4 July from 1pm.
The tour will uncover stories of this area/suburb from pre-Eurpoean times through to today. There will be a focus on Māori settlement and land use, changing landscape, the stories of colonial immigrants, the Chinese community and will end with stories of the suburb today.
The tour will last for approximately 45 minutes, followed by a chance to ask questions over a cup of tea.
Where: Wellington Museum, Jervois Quay.
When: Monday 4 July, 1pm to 1:45pm.

The tour will be available for up to three low vision or blind participants and will be supported by member of the museum staff, a Blind Foundation volunteer and/or a Blind Foundation staff member.
