Tandem Cycling Trip: Twin Coast Trail – Pou Herenga Tai, Northland

If so, this event is for you!

Where: Pou Herenga Tai – Northland Cycle Trail.

Day 1: Kaikohe to Opua.  Day 2: Kaikohe to Horeke.


For 18+ with low vision or blindness who have an interest in cycling, currently cycle or are capable of cycling up 40km per day. Places are available for up to 8 adults supported by Blind Foundation staff and also volunteers. If you have a family member or friend who would like to volunteer, this may be an option.


The cost per person will be $120.  This includes return transport from Auckland or Whangarei, 2 nights accommodation, meals, tandem bike hire, on-trail vehicle support, and sighted guiding.

Additional costs

Transport from your home to and from either Auckland or Whangarei, lunch for day 1.  Also additional accommodation before or after the trip, if required.
