Rotary Camp 2018
This is an exciting camp with the Blind Foundation, you will get to experience many fun outdoor activities, an evening musical concert and better yet make new friends. This is a perfect first camp experience or another year of fun for others.
The programme offers peer support activities aimed at establishing existing or building new friendships. It is also a time to enhance your own self-learning, self-responsibility, self-confidence, self-esteem, empathy, and motivation.
It offers you the opportunity to participate in various outdoor recreational activities, which may include things like:
- Super Fox
- Camp cooking
- Confidence course
- Swim in hot pools
Who can attend?
- Must be a member of the Blind Foundation
- aged 9-16 years
- in good physical health
- independent with self-care – preferable, alternative supportive options may be arranged
- willing to participate in outdoor activities
- Is able to understand instructions
Cost: $25.00. Cheques to be made payable to “Remuera Rotary Club”. This is a camp, which is sponsored by the Remuera Rotary Club.

For those within Auckland transport will be available from the Homai Campus, 89 Browns Road, Manurewa, Auckland.
Departing Homai Campus approx. 3:15pm Friday 9th March
Returning to Homai Campus approx. 3.00pm Sunday 11th March (these times may be subject to change – confirmation will be made closer to date)
Parents, please indicate if you can assist by bringing your child to the camp facility or to and from the Homai Campus.

Applications must be received no later than Friday 23rd March 2018.
Please note that not all applicants may be able to participate. This could be because you may not meet the criteria and/or we may receive a lot more applications than there are places. For Rotary Camp 2018 we can only cater a maximum of 15 participants, this means applications will be done by selection process. Once applicants have been accepted, all travel arrangements and gear lists will take place.
