Museum tour – Nairn Street Cottage
Where: Nairn Street Cottage, 68 Nairn Street
Date: Monday 3 October
Time: 11am to 1pm
The museum tour for October will be going up to Nairn Street Cottage – Wellington’s oldest original cottage. Home to the Wallis Family for three generations, the tour will focus on the family’s story over this period. During the visit we will spend time in the visitor centre, explore the cottage and also the garden. The garden and cottage both have uneven surfaces and so appropriate footwear would be recommended.
The tour will last for approximately two hours including time to ask questions over a cup of tea. If you want to bring your sandwiches along then please do. The tour will be supported by museum staff, volunteers and a Blind Foundation staff member.
Transport: Transport to and from the cottage will be available from the Railway Station and from Blind Foundation Braille House on Adelaide Rd.
If you are interested in attending the tour then please reserve a place by contacting Frances Watling (Recreation and Volunteer Coordinator at the Blind Foundation) by phoning 04 380 2151 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
