Booklink Familiarisation Session
Blind Foundation Library staff will be providing BookLink familiarisation sessions for clients, families, staff and volunteers in the lower North Island in April.
Participants will be able to ‘have-a-go’ with BookLink, ask questions about it, and learn about the basic accessibility features of Apple devices. The library staff will bring some devices to the session, but if you have an Apple device you are encouraged to bring that with you.
BookLink is the Blind Foundation app for talking books. It contains 11000 talking books and over 70 local and national newspapers. It is free for clients to use, and it works on Apple devices.
Session dates and times are:
When: Tuesday April 19, from 12:00pm to 2:30pm.
Where: St Andrews Library, Hamilton – corner Taylor Terrace & Braid Road.
Anyone who is interested in attending is encouraged to register by emailing Kelly O’Donnell or phoning Kelly on 027 808 3802 or 07 838 7507.
For any other enquiries about the sessions, of if you are interested in one in being held in your area, please email Chris Pigott or phone Chris on 09 355 6826.
