Big Wide-Eyed World: Living independently with low, or no vision

Mount Cook

Wednesday, 30 May 2018, 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Cost: FREE

Come and listen to a panel of Blind Foundation clients and staff discuss their own experiences of living independently. Get top tips and bring along your own questions about what it is really like to leave home and get out there.

This event is for Blind Foundation clients aged 12 to 26 who want to learn more about independent living. Whether you are planning to leave home now, or down the road, this panel will give you a head start, with information on what lies in store, what to do about it, and where to go for help. If you are already flatting and would like a little guidance, then this is the place for you too.

A handout will be provided, but you may also want to bring additional note taking materials or a sound recorder. There will also be afternoon tea.

Please RSVP to Susan Williams daydreamersjw@gmail.com by Friday 25 May. Please mention any special dietary requirements and state your preferred document format.
