Auckland: Bizet’s ‘Carmen’ audio-described performance

Tuesday, 27 June 2017, 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

New Zealand Opera, in collaboration with Auckland Live, have an audio described performance of Bizet’s Carmen on Tuesday 27 June at 6:30pm. This is a rollicking great opera! Plenty of famous foot-tapping pieces, elegant genteel numbers and just a little bit of naughty. It’s on in the ASB Theatre at the Aotea Centre. There will be a pre-performance touch tour with further details available closer to the time.

Karen Plimmer from the Blind Foundation tells us there are plenty of volunteers who would love to accompany you if you’d like a companion who has training in sighted guide technique. To find out about volunteer help, please call the Blind Foundation on 0800 243 333 and ask for Karen Plimmer. Guide dogs are welcome.

Discounted tickets are available at 50% off full price for patrons with low vision plus one companion. To book your tickets phone Ticketmaster’s groups team on 09 970 9745. Don’t forget to order your headsets when you book and let them know if you want to attend the pre show touch tour.
