The Blind Foundation has opened an office on the Kapiti Coast in Paraparaumu this week.

Its opening will provide better local access to the full range of facilities used to undertake assessments, training and other services that the Blind Foundation offer to their clients.

Blind Foundation’s national manager customer service and advice, Denise Kitto, says: “The needs of our Kapiti Coast clients are important to us, and it’s an exciting development to be extending our presence here, making our services more accessible in an area where we have many local clients.”

The office has a multi-functional space for functional low vison assessments and adaptive technology training, which help provide clients with the knowledge, skills and tools to adapt to life with low vision or blindness.

Open weekdays between 9am and noon, the office is located at 6 Tongariro Street, Paraparaumu, and is easily accessible by public transport.

Kitto says: “We welcome current and potential clients to come and say hello, and have a look at our equipment display of low vision products for sale.”
