Today is International Volunteer Day, and we’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all our volunteers for their invaluable work in our communities, locally and nationally. No matter where they are, how they support or how much time they donate, they are contributing to our services to enable blind and low vision clients to live a ‘Life without Limits’.

The Blind Foundation is extremely fortunate to have a diverse group of volunteers who bring a rich repertoire of experience, knowledge and agility to volunteering. Whether they assist with driving, reading mail, Christmas shopping, Fundraising; whether they run alongside a marathon runner or help unravel the secrets of technology, support local groups, volunteer for Guide Dog Services/ Library or create tactile books for blind children, they are part of the large Blind Foundation family.

In the last year, we have been able to increase the range of volunteering activities we could offer our clients and this wouldn’t have been possible without our volunteers donating their talent and time.
